Pastor Max Ferguson

Dr. Max Ferguson has been an ordained minister of the gospel for more than 20 years. He has pastored in New York City, as well as in Hartford, Bloomfield and Bridgeport, Connecticut. In 2017 he joined the Allegheny East Conference family and pastored in Petersburg, VA. He has also pastored in Woodbridge, VA for the Potomac Conference.

 

Pastor Ferguson is a proud graduate of the HBCU, Oakwood College, now University. He earned a Master of Divinity from the Theological Seminary at Andrews University and earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Hartford International University. Dr. Ferguson has also completed the requirements to become a Board-Certified Hospital Chaplain.

 

Pastor Ferguson is the proud father of 3 adult children: a daughter, Norell, who holds graduate degrees in Architecture as well as in Public Policy, and two sons: Nicholas a CPA, who also holds a graduate degree in Computer Science and Nelson a recent graduate of La Sierra University with a degree in Fine Arts focusing on Script Writing for Film & Television.

 

Throughout his ministry Dr. Ferguson has pastored both small and large churches and has been instrumental in facilitating congregational renewal, the renovation of church facilities and in the raising of $172,000, in less than a year, to facilitate the building of a new church facility. As pastor it’s his drive to help every disciple of Jesus to become a fruit bearing, disciple-making believer. He is committed to the ideal of teaching and living by the Word and making God’s Word the primary source for how do church and show up as believers.

 

Pastor Ferguson loves the Lord, his family and God’s people and is a firm believer that the church of God will thrive when we return to the biblical concept of discipleship. His primary gifts include leadership, mentoring, teaching, preaching and administration. He loves to read and spends quality time riding one of his bicycles as often as he can. When not involved in ministry related activities he loves to cook and bake.

 

Dr. Ferguson is honored to have the privilege to lead God’s people at Living Water.

 

 


 

 

 

Jacquelyn Johnson (Jacque) - Treasurer

Jacquelyn Johnson has been a member of Living Water since 2002.  She is passionate about service and has committed her life to helping the marginalized and disenfranchised. Jacquelyn’s passion for service is seen in ministry as she has served in several different capacities, in multiple ministries, and currently serves as the Treasurer beginning in 2012.  Jacquelyn is married and has one adult son. Jaque believes in serving God with all of your heart, wherever God calls, no matter the challenge; and she memorizes the promises of God as motivation to remain faithful.

Jeremiah Anthony Weekes (Tony) - Elder

Tony has been a member of Living Water since the summer 1991. He served as a deacon for several years prior to his ordination as an elder in Aug. 2010. Tony has been married to Sonia for 43 years. They have three adult children and six grandchildren. He loves music. He believes worship services should be inspiring, in accordance with God’s Word, and not be shackled by tradition or culture.

 

Living Water has been a welcomed oasis for many because as we serve with humility, the presence of the Holy Spirit is magnified. Come, “..taste and see that the Lord is good.”
